My favorite thing this week is the constant reminder of how many things we have to be thankful for! Certainly, wonderful trips in Hawaii, a magnificent place that God has created are just one of them! But equally so, getting life back to a bit more routine makes me very happy!
I am so thankful to the 70 plus guest who came to the stamping Retreat in Mt. Juliet and the AMAZING demonstrators who worked so hard to make it fabulous! The photos are some of the Retreat projects we made! Hopefully, more of you can join us in the fall.
And just seeing many of you at card class this week warms my heart we spend some special time creating, laughing and sharing! We will share some photos of the current class cards next week and will hope to see more of you at our next card class!
And you can all look forward to a wonderful new newsletter and newsletter format in the next week or so! Dana (who is another favorite person!) is retiring from doing newsletters as she plans for her 2nd baby's arrival in the fall. I hope you will enjoy the new newsletter and that it will become one of your favorite things for great information and creative ideas!
Now ... for some pictures. Enjoy!
These are from the Friday night FREE class I offered to demonstrators who brought their customers ... and their customers too!
Now ... some of the Retreat projects. What a GREAT time! What AWESOME projects!!
There are still a couple more projects. But they're still in my camera. I'll upload them soon! Until then ... keep on stampin'!
wonderful it was to hear from so may of you after sharing the amazing dolphin
snorkel with you. We went to Kauai for our last week in the islands. It is Jerry's
favorite island and it does deserve the title of "The Garden Island",
as it is so green and bursting with fabulous flowers. You can smell the
blossoms just walking outside!
Hawaiian Monk Seal is an endangered species and well protected by the
state. It is estimated that between 10 and 30 of these seals reside in
the waters surrounding Kauai. One of the days we were driving on the south
end of the island, we stopped at a beach. There, basking in the sun were
2 of these huge creatures! It was such fun to watch them! We then
drove about 5 miles further down the road and saw a crowd gathered and there
were 4 more of these to delight us!
Now for the
really cool part! Jerry and I, along with our friends Linda and Joel from
Ohio, were snorkeling on the north end
of the island in a secluded reef the very next day. Well, it is winter in
Hawaii (YES! THERE IS WINTER IN
HAWAII!), and the water was only 72 degrees, so Linda and I wimped out on the
guys after about 30 minutes and went in to wrap up in blankets! About 30
minutes later, Jerry and Joel came running out so excited that we could not
imagine what was going on! We immediately thought "sharks", but
NO! They had just been in the water swimming with a Monk Seal!!
Another total first for all of us!
we need to celebrate the Risen Lord everyday, not just Easter!
As many of you know, Hawaii is my favorite place on
earth. It is a place where Jerry and I feel and see God's spirit in many
special ways. But after a wonderful 19 days, we have decided there is
no place like home!
Our trip brought many amazing first time
experiences, which is amazing in itself as this was trip number 12 to Hawaii in
the 17 years (come this Saturday!) that we have been married. I will share a
little each week.
We love snorkeling and seeing God's spectacular
creation under the sea. For the first time ever, in a place where we have
snorkeled many times, we were in the water with an entire pod of spinner
dolphins! I cannot even begin to share how amazing this was, from the
friendliness of the dolphins (they were not at all afraid of us and were within
5 feet of us many times during this hour we stayed with them!), to hearing them
communicate with each other. They played and delighted us and reminded us of
how perfectly God has designed the universe. A few days later, we took 2
couples who are friends and also enjoy snorkeling and guess what! There were
the dolphins! It was wonderful and a gift to share the dolphin experience
Arriving home and finding my Mother so much improved
from her back surgery was the VERY BEST part of the whole adventure. Thank all
of you for the prayers that were answered.
During this Easter week, we pray that all of you
will experience God's love and grace through our Resurrected Lord in a new a
wonderful way, and that you find ways to share this Glory with those you
