OK - so Tuesday's Tip is a couple days late. That doesn't make it any less of a tip! This week's tip is next Tuesday - February 27, 9:00pm. The LAST day and time you can place your order with me (call or e-mail) from the Winter Mini-Catalog AND to guarantee your Sell-A-Bration benefits!
This week's tip is a technique! I like it because it combines two of my favorite techniques - emboss resist and watercolor! You'll LOVE using this wonderful, colorful technique on your stamped projects.
Emboss your image on a light colored card stock using clear embossing powder.
Next, scribble around and over the image using a darker Watercolor Wonder Crayon (channel your inner-kindergartner!)
Use an Aqua Painter to blend the scribbles.
Wipe the color from the embossed image and allow to dry completely.
Voila! Click here to see a sample of the technique! You have a colorful focal point for any card, scrapbook page or piece of art. You can use Two-Step Stampin' images - just make sure before you stamp the second step, the first step is completely dry. Finally - try it on our high-quality On Board Accents and Simon chipboard products. You'll LOVE it!

Today's tip is the microwave oven! No - that doesn't mean cook all your meals in the microwave so you have more time to stamp (although that's not really a bad idea!), but it means use the microwave to fix some of those mis-mounted stamps!
When I'm cutting and mounting the rubber for my stamps, I'll occasionally mount the rubber crooked (especially those words and sayings stamps!) or I'll realize after they're mounted that I need to trim up the stamp a little closer. What do I do???!!??!
Just pop that stamp into the microwave and 'nuke' it for 10-15 seconds. (Be careful when you remove the stamp from the microwave because the wood will be very warm.) The microwave will soften up the adhesive so the rubber will peel right off! Re-trim (if needed) and re-mount (preferably straight!) It's that easy - and there is no additional adhesive needed. Since microwaves vary, if the first 10-15 seconds don't do the trick, nuke it another 10-15 seconds.
